I don't want to get dragged into a drawn out "discussion" on this but more than doubling the surface area and adding weight is never going to improve a drone's aerodynamic performance. Goodbye.

A few things to consider . . . - The float, it's quite small, hard to spot unless close and flat water, very hard to find in sea where there are likely waves of some sort, forget about seeing it with white caps showing.

I have always had mine attached to one leg of the landing gear on my P3S but there dosnt seem to be a good way to attach it to my MP keeping it away from the sensors on the bottom. WebJan 25, 2024 · These are for recovery only. Made these for the mavic. I fly quite a bit over open water. Mostly launch from the Aft hardtop on the boat out on the Great Lakes. Similar to the getrback concept but you don't have to worry about the depth of the water, will it deploy and waiting 15 minutes plus.
